Welcome!
*The latest release is at the bottom of this page!*
Welcome to We are For the Future's Dai Nagao site! Although to be honest with you, almost every sub-site here is a "Dai Nagao" site.
Dai Nagao is a composer, arranger and talent scout. He sometimes goes by the nickname "D.A.I". (^^) He's also created (and produced) several artists, including: Do As Infinity (which is named after him), Amasia Landscape, I-lulu, moumoon, and SE7EN. He's also worked with other famous artists, including Ayumi Hamasaki and hitomi. Usually he just composes or arranges songs for these artists. =)
Because Dai Nagao has done so much, the entire "We are For the Future" was
(basically) split up two ways:
HOW TO NAVIGATE THIS SITE:
- If he produced an artist, or composed/arranged nearly all of their songs, that artist has a sub-site here (ex: I-lulu). The only exceptions are Tomiko Van and Ryo Owatari's solo projects.
- All other artists that he's worked for (ex: Ayumi Hamasaki) will be featured here. This is a special sub-site dedicated to Dai Nagao, which is called "D.A.I.'s Other Works":
- You can search this sub-site by year, or by artist name.
- Whenever a new artist gets added (or I update someone's section), I'll tell you in the Updates section below. At the bottom of this page, you'll see that artist's new CD.
- Just like the regular sub-sites (ex: moumoon), you'll find translated lyrics and MP3 samples here.
Lastly, please note that I'm a fan of Dai Nagao's, but I don't claim to know everything about him -- and I do occasionally make mistakes. So if you see any mistakes, or you want to contribute information, feel free to email me.
Also, if you can donate any of the missing songs/lyrics/other things that I need, please email me as well, but please DO NOT send any files to this address! I will contact you and tell you where I want the files sent.
Take a look around, and enjoy your visit! =D
UPDATES
Nov-11-2009:
I updated Sunplaza Nagano Kun's page and added some brief information (and a new link). Special thanks to Frank S. for the help!
Aug-6-2009:
I added the lyrics for Londonboot's last song, which is actually called "Kachi" and NOT "Katsu"!
Turns out, the song title (勝) is
only read as "katsu" when it's written like this: 勝つ. Otherwise, it should be read as "kachi".
These updates/changes can be found on the 2002, and Londonboot's pages.
Jul-10-2009:
I've added the translation to "Lemon Tea", by the Red Pepper Girls.
Be warned: these lyrics are dirty.
I've also fixed a few mistakes in their section: Dai Nagao did NOT compose "Lemon Tea"; he just played guitar. He also played guitar (and composed) the songs "Egotistic*Champage", and "Summer Memories ~Suiei Budeshita~".
These updates/changes can be found on the 2008, 2009 and Red Pepper Girls' page.
